  • I’ve had this camera set up in the garden for a couple of weeks and the night footage has been much better than expected. The no-glow infrared is great because there’s no obvious red light giving away the camera. The photos are sharp, the trigger seems very quick, and I love having the date and temperature recorded on each file.

      Most cameras fall apart after dark — grainy footage, washed-out shapes, nothing
      you can actually identify. TrailSight records 4K video and 48MP photos, with
      36 infrared LEDs lighting the scene up to 20 metres away.       Zoom into a still
      and the detail holds: fur, markings, the shape of an ear. You get footage worth
      keeping instead of clips worth deleting.

      From Missed Moments to Instant Capture

      A slow camera records the empty space where an animal used to be. TrailSight
      fires in 0.2 seconds and watches a 120° field through a wide sensor array      , so
      movement is caught as it enters the frame rather than as it leaves. Three
      capture modes — photo, video, or both — let you decide what gets recorded every
      time the sensor triggers.

      From Constant Checking to Months in the Field

      Strap it to a tree, a fence post or a gate and walk away. The IP66-sealed
      housing handles rain, snow and heat from -20°C to 60°C, and eight AA batteries
      keep it in standby for months.       Every file is stamped with date, time and

        How clear is the footage at night?

        TrailSight uses 36 infrared LEDs that illuminate up to 20 metres. Night footage
        is recorded in black and white and is sharp enough to identify the animal, its
        markings and its direction of travel. During the day the camera records in full
        colour at 4K.

        Is it difficult to set up?

        No. Insert eight AA batteries and a memory card, strap the camera to a tree or
        post, set the capture mode on the built-in screen and switch it on. Most people
        have it running in under two minutes. There's no wiring, no account and no
        subscription.

        Will it work in the rain?

        Yes. The housing is IP66 rated and sealed with a gasket and locking latch, so
        rain, snow and dust stay out. It operates from -20°C to 60°C, which covers
        almost any season you'd want to leave it out in.

        How long do the batteries last?

        In standby, a fresh set of eight AA batteries lasts for months. Actual life
        depends on how often the camera triggers and how much video it records — a busy
        location with lots of movement will drain faster than a quiet one.

        What memory card do I need?

        A standard microSD card, sold separately. We'd suggest buying a name-brand card
        rather than the cheapest option, as low-quality cards are the single most common
        cause of missed or corrupted recordings.

        Will it disturb the wildlife?

        The camera is silent when it triggers and the infrared LEDs produce far less
        visible light than a standard flash, so animals generally carry on as normal.
        The camo housing also helps it blend into a trunk or post.

        Can I mount it somewhere other than a tree?

        Yes. The included strap fits trunks, posts and rails, and there's a standard
        1/4" tripod thread on the base for fixed mounts, brackets and tripods.
